Birthday Rap Video: Rap Happy Birthday From Two Photos
Turn two selfies, or one photo of you both, into a 12-second rap clip of you two on stage, with an AI beat and vocals rapping an original verse written around your names.
Example made with this effect, with sound. The two people are AI-generated, not real.
- Two selfies or one photo of you both
- Beat and rap vocals in an original verse
- Four stages, lyrics written around your names
Upload one photo per person
Clear, front-facing photos with one face each work best. They can be taken at different times and places.

The short answer
A birthday rap video here is a 12-second clip in which two people from your photos rap a short birthday verse together, with a generated beat and two AI voices. The maker below already has Birthday selected: add two photos, type the birthday person’s name and one detail, pick a stage and confirm the credit cost. A few minutes later you can download a vertical MP4 to send in the group chat or post on the day.
What's new
- Opened this page with the Birthday occasion preselected and our own sample: two fictional people made for the demo, Standard quality (720p, 12 seconds) on the orange stage.
How to make it
- 1
Decide who raps
Two people perform. It can be the birthday person with a friend, so they star in their own song, or the two of you rapping to someone who is not in the clip. Add one clear selfie of each person, or one photo with both faces side by side. The person on the left, or Photo 1, opens the verse.
- 2
Write the birthday line
Birthday is already selected under "What is the song about?". Type the name and one thing only friends would know, for example "Nora turns 30, still can’t parallel park", up to 120 characters. We write a short original verse from it. Leave it blank and you get one of our stock birthday verses.
- 3
Pick a stage and quality
Choose the bright orange booth, a luxury hotel lobby, a dark studio with purple neon or a street cypher at night. The Standard video is 12 seconds, 720p and vertical for 10 credits. Choosing 480p brings the same clip down to 5 credits; longer clips and stronger models cost more, and the cost is always shown before you confirm.
- 4
Confirm, then send it on the day
Sign in, confirm that everyone pictured is an adult who agreed to be in it, and the render starts. It takes a few minutes and passes an automated safety check. The MP4 then appears under My videos, ready to download and send.
What you get
- Two people from your photos side by side at vintage microphones, trading lines of a birthday verse and finishing the last line together.
- Sound in the file: a generated beat and two AI voices, so the clip plays as a song without any editing.
- A verse built from what you typed, so the name and an inside joke can make it into the lyrics.
- By default a 12-second vertical 9:16 MP4 at 720p that fits WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram Stories, TikTok and YouTube Shorts; square and widescreen are available too.
- No watermark, and the file stays in My videos for 30 days.
Photo tips
- Use photos of adults with the whole face visible and turned roughly toward the camera.
- A sharp, evenly lit selfie works better than a dim party photo. Sunglasses, party hats over the eyes, masks and heavy filters make faces drift.
- Head-and-shoulders or half-body shots work best. If a face is small, crop closer before you upload.
- Two separate selfies usually keep each face closer to the photo than one group shot where both faces are small.
- Use JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF files under 10 MB, and only photos you own or have permission to use. Ask the birthday person first if they are going to be in it.
Good to know
Everything in the clip is generated, so each attempt comes out different and exact likeness is not guaranteed: faces, hands, clothes and movement can differ from your photos. The voices are AI voices, not yours, and the lip sync is AI-made too, so mouths can drift off the words, a name can be pronounced oddly and a line can come out slightly different from the written verse. The maker does not sing the traditional "Happy Birthday" song or any other existing song, and you can’t upload your own track. It makes duos only, so a solo rap or a third person is not possible, and the camera and lighting of each stage are fixed. A request can also fail, be blocked by the safety check or wait for human review.
Before you create
What is a birthday rap video?
It is a short video in which two people rap a birthday message, set to a beat, instead of saying it or singing the usual song. Here the picture, the beat and the voices are generated from your photos and a line of text, so you do not need to film, record or edit anything.
How do I make a birthday rap video from photos?
Add two selfies or one photo of the two performers in the maker above. Birthday is already selected; type the name and one detail, pick a stage and sign in. Check the credit cost and confirm. When the video is ready, download the MP4 from My videos and send it.
Can the birthday person’s name be in the rap?
Yes. Type the name in the song box, for example "Sam turns 40, still the group chat DJ". The verse is written from that text, so the name usually appears. Unusual names can be pronounced in an odd way by the AI voices, and nothing guarantees that every word is sung exactly as written.
Does the birthday person have to be in the video?
No. Two people perform, and they can be anyone who agreed to appear: the birthday person and a friend, a couple rapping to their mum, or two coworkers rapping to their manager. The person being celebrated only needs to be in a photo if you want them on stage.
Can I make a solo birthday rap of just one person?
Not yet. The maker is built for two performers, so you need a second person in a photo. If a solo version opens, it will be listed under What is new on this page.
Will it sing the Happy Birthday song?
No. The traditional song is not used. Each video gets a short original rap verse and a generated beat, so the clip does not reuse anyone else’s recording when you post it.
Can I use my own lyrics or music?
No. You can’t upload audio or paste a full set of lyrics. You type up to 120 characters about the birthday, and we write the verse from that. You can swap the sound in an editing app after you download, but the mouths follow the generated verse, so they will not match a different track.
How long is it and how fast is it ready?
The Standard video is about 12 seconds, vertical 9:16 at 720p. You can choose a shorter or longer clip, 480p, or a square or widescreen format before you confirm. Rendering usually takes a few minutes, and you can leave the page and find the result under My videos.
How much does a birthday rap video cost?
It is not free. The Standard video costs 10 credits and the 480p version of the same clip costs 5. Credits come in one-time packs that never expire: $4.99 covers one 480p video and $9.99 one Standard video. A confirmed generation that fails returns its credits once, and unused paid credits can be refunded within 168 hours of payment.
Who can be in the video?
Only adults (18+) who agreed to be included, in photos you own or have permission to use. Photos of children, celebrities and public figures are not allowed, so a rap for a child’s birthday has to be performed by the adults sending it. Many platforms ask you to label AI-generated videos, so use that label when you post.
