AI video credits explained: cost, failed generations and refunds

How Framecomet credits work: the cost shown before you confirm, one-time packs or optional monthly and yearly plans, credits back for failures and refunds of unused credits.

Framecomet runs on credits, and no subscription is needed. You can buy a one-time credit pack, or subscribe to a monthly or yearly plan if you make videos often. Every generation shows its credit cost before you confirm, and credits are charged only when you confirm and the task is created. If a generation is confirmed as failed, that attempt's credits return to your balance once. Unused paid credits from a purchase can be refunded within 168 hours of confirmed payment, after a manual review. This guide walks through each rule and what to send support if something goes wrong. Check the pricing page for current packs and their status.

What credits pay for

Every effect draws on the same credit balance: one account, one balance, whether you make a two-person Raindance clip or a one-photo Car Driving video. Each generation attempt has its own cost, which depends on the effect, and the confirmation step shows it in credits together with the clip length. You do not need separate packs for separate effects, and photo effects such as 1980s Photo draw on the same balance as the video effects.

You see the cost before you confirm

Nothing is charged while you browse, pick photos or sign in. When you are ready, the confirmation step shows the credits for that attempt and the clip length, and states that this is one paid generation attempt. Credits are charged only when you confirm and the task is created.

If the price or the effect settings change between your review and your confirmation, the page stops and asks you to review again instead of charging a different amount. If your balance is too low, your photos and confirmation are saved while you choose a credit pack. Once the payment is verified and you return to the page, the confirmation can resume, and the photos and price are checked again.

A quick walk-through

Say you want a Raindance clip. You pick two photos, sign in and open the confirmation step, which shows the credits for that attempt and the clip length. You confirm, and those credits are deducted as the task is created. From there, one of three things happens. The clip finishes and passes review, and you download it from your history within 30 days. The task is confirmed as failed, and the same credits return to your balance once. Or the outcome is not yet known, and you recover the same submission instead of paying for a new one.

One-time packs, or an optional plan

Credit packs are one-time payments: nothing renews on its own and their credits never expire. Monthly and yearly plans are optional, for people who make videos often; they renew until you cancel, and you can cancel any time. Credits are added to your account shortly after the payment is confirmed. Prices are shown in your checkout currency: US dollars, or euros with VAT included for visitors in the euro area where that option is available. The checkout shows any applicable tax before you pay.

Credits from packs never expire. Plan credits refresh each billing period and do not roll over; a yearly plan adds the whole year's credits up front. Your account's credits page shows your balance. Credit validity does not change how long results are stored: finished clips stay in your history for 30 days.

When a generation fails

A confirmed failure returns that attempt's credits to your balance once, automatically, and that includes a result blocked by the safety review. It is a credit return, not a cash refund, and refreshing the page will not return the same credits twice.

Not every wait is a failure. A task can sit in the queue, be generating or wait for a human review, which usually happens within a day. If the submission was interrupted, for example by a dropped connection, use the option to recover the same submission: it checks the original task instead of starting another paid attempt. Do not submit again while the first outcome is still unknown.

A finished clip that you simply do not like is not a technical failure, so its credits are not returned automatically. If a result has a clear quality or role problem, such as the two people appearing in each other's places, report it to support with the task ID. The failure and credit guide goes into more detail.

Refunds of unused paid credits

You can request a cash refund for unused paid credits within 168 hours, or seven days, of confirmed payment for that purchase. Submit the order number and the number of credits from the payments section of your account. The requested credits are frozen right away, so they cannot fund a generation while the request is open.

Cash refunds are reviewed manually and paid back through the payment platform, calculated at the original order price. A verified successful refund settles the frozen credits; a verified failure releases them back to your balance. How long the money takes to arrive depends on the payment platform. The refund policy has the full rules, and mandatory consumer rights still apply.

What to send support

If something goes wrong, open a support ticket from your account and include:

  • The task ID for a generation problem, or the order number for a payment or refund question.
  • The effect name and roughly when it happened, with your time zone.
  • The status or message you saw, described in your own words or as a screenshot of that status.
  • What you expected to happen instead.

Never send full card numbers, passwords or private keys. Do not post your photos or private download links in public messages or comments. A clear report with the right ID makes it easier to check a task or payment against the original record.

Before you buy, compare packs on the pricing page and check the status of the effect you want to make.
